We are thrilled to officially welcome you to the Besso Ranch Farm Journal — your window into daily life on our sustainable homestead in Yucca Valley, California.
How It All Started
What began as a small backyard flock of chickens quickly grew into something much bigger. The High Desert has a way of teaching you to work with the land, not against it, and that philosophy now guides everything we do at Besso Ranch.
Today, our ranch is home to chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, and Nigerian Dwarf goats — all raised on certified organic, corn-free, soy-free feed with absolutely no antibiotics or hormones.
What We Believe
We believe that the best products come from animals that are healthy, happy, and free to be themselves. Our birds roam freely across the property, foraging for bugs and greens in the desert sun. Our goats have plenty of space to climb, play, and just be goats.
Every product that leaves Besso Ranch — whether it is a dozen farm fresh eggs, a bar of handcrafted goat milk soap, or a new addition to your backyard flock — carries that commitment with it.
